The country erupted over the inhumane killing of George Floyd, led by Dr. Geniece Monde we discussed how we arrived here and our individual and collective responsibility moving forward.
In light of the latest impacts to the United States (Covid-19 and police brutality) this forum will provide information on the US historical treatment of underserved, marginalized, and persons of color, the impact on their mental health and the urgency of treating communities of color with humanity.
Join Attorney Mazen Rasoul, Dr. Paige Rawson, and Dr. Andy Clarno as they discuss the history of Palestine and what is going on in the modern day and they will also share their experiences of the time they spent in the country.
The Muslim Students Association and Dr. Rawson will hold a faith lyceum about Islamophobia. In this lyceum students will learn the history of when Islamophobia began, how it affects everyone, and what we can all do going forward to be allies and support each other.
A panel of students. faculty, staff and alums will speak on their personal experiences identifying as LGBTQ+ on campus and in the community. Panelists will also provide different ways to be an ally and advocate to the LGBTQ+ community.
